Advantage II is an easy-to-apply topical that kills fleas through contact, so that they don't have to bite your pet to die. Advantage^® II kills fleas rapidly — within 12 hours of initial application — and is waterproof after 24 hours.

Advantage II effectively treats existing flea infestations and prevents further infestations by killing flea eggs and larvae to break the flea life cycle. Reinfesting fleas are killed within 2 hours, and protection against further flea infestation lasts for up to a month. For use on cats and kittens 8 weeks of age and older, weighing 2 lbs. or more.

Advantage II for Cats can be applied monthly, year-round to keep your patients protected from fleas. A single application of Advantage II for Cats stops biting fleas for one month.

However, if the cat has a severe infestation, re-treatment within a month may be necessary. Do not re-treat more often than once every 14 days for kittens or once every 7 days for small and large cats; after flea control is attained, your client can return to a monthly re-treatment schedule.
