• Details:  This is an adorable ornament from the Precious Moments Collection.  Featuring a girl holding a striped heart with a green bow.  She is bisque porcelain,,  wearing a green dress, white apron and a pink bow on her hair.  This is an ornament, comes with a gold hanging cord, however, it can be used as a figurine, it stands on its own.  Made by Enesco, she is dated 1997, in original box.  Great addition to your Precious Moments Ornament Collection.  We offer 20% off on the purchase of 3 or more ornaments. Sam Butcher demonstrated artistic talent at an early age. Encouraged by his mother, he pursued formal art training right after high school.  Later he began drawing the endearing teardrop-eyed children he called "Precious Moments," as gifts for family and friends. Precious Moments was started in the early 1970's when Sam and his friend Bill Biel, decided to start a small company to produce his Precious Moments art under the name "Jonathan & David, originally selling only greeting cards and posters.  They introduced Precious Moments to the public in 1975.   Sam and Bill took their goods to the annual Christian Booksellers Association Convention in Anaheim and retailers went crazy with this new line.  Those became very popular and not long after, Enesco approached Sam with an idea to develop a three-dimensional figurine based on his artwork.  The original 21 Precious Moments figurines were introduced to the public in 1978 and as they say, the rest is history.  There are now over 1,500 pieces of Precious Moments.
